Typically, neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) and their presence are seen as a measure of progress made in regards to poverty.  As such, efforts made against NDTS may also be considered a measure: One of peace and global health.  With the endeavors of the World Health Organization (WHO), public health interventions worldwide can play a massive role in the eradication of disease neglect. By ensuring stable coverage of the issue, one ensures not only universal access to health, but prosperity and financial protection, both individually and community-wise.
